Teriyaki Tofu

Ingredients

  • 14oz Firm Tofu
  • 4 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp seasame oil
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 white onion thinly sliced

  • 3 cups cooked rice

  • Slice the tofu in half, then press both sides. Once pressed for 20 minutes, place in freezer.
  • Once frozen, remove tofu from freezer, allow to thaw, and press for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Dice the onion.
  • Slice tofu into 5x5 cubes, and place in bowl with the cornstarch and toss.
  • Add both oils to pan and put the burner at medium. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  • Add tofu and cook until golden brown.
  • Add teriyaki sauce, and allow sauce to mix and thicken.
  • Split across three ways, adding a cup of rice to each portion and enjoy!
